BJP Candidates List 2024: BJP has also included two celebrities from the world of acting in the fifth list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Arun Govil, who played the character of Lord Ram in the TV serial Ramayana, and Kangana Ranaut, who is known as the Bollywood queen, have been given tickets. BJP released the fifth list of candidates on Sunday (24 March).
From where will Kangana Ranaut and Arun Govil contest elections?
Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has been made the candidate from Mandi Lok Sabha constituency of Himachal Pradesh, while Arun Govil will contest from Meerut seat of Uttar Pradesh. Both are experienced artists and have considerable popularity.
Kangana Ranaut is a resident of Mandi
Kangana Ranaut is originally from Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. He was born on 23 March 1987 in a Rajput family in Bhambla (now Surajpur), Mandi. His mother’s name is Asha Ranaut and father’s name is Amardeep Ranaut. Kangana’s one She has an elder sister Rangoli Chandel and a younger brother Akshat.
Kangana is an actress as well as a film producer. She is known for strong roles in female-oriented films. She has won many awards including four National Film Awards and five Filmfare Awards. He has been included in the Forbes India Celebrity 100 list six times. In 2020, the Government of India honored him with Padma Shri.
Arun Govil grew up in Meerut
Arun Govil was born on 12 January 1952 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. He also studied from Meerut. He also lived in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. His father’s name is Chandra Prakash Govil. Father wanted to see him as a government employee but Arun wanted him to do something by which he would be remembered. He acted in theater while studying in college.
In 1975, Arun went to Mumbai to join his brother’s business but he was not interested in it. Her first break in cinema was in the 1977 film Paheli, when her sister-in-law Tabassum introduced her to Tarachand Barjatya. After this, he worked in many other films but he was very much liked in the role of Lord Ram in the TV serial Ramayana.

Apart from this, BJP had also given tickets to many celebrities in the first list. Manoj Tiwari’s name is in the first list of BJP. He has previously worked as a singer and actor in the Bhojpuri film industry. He has been made the candidate from North-East Delhi. He is also the current MP from here.
Ravi Kishan, who has worked in Bollywood and Bhojpuri films, has been given ticket again from Gorakhpur seat of Uttar Pradesh. There is a sitting MP from Gorakhpur only. Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh has been given ticket from Asansol seat of West Bengal. He will contest elections for the first time.
Union Minister Smriti Irani will contest from Amethi in UP and is the current MP from this seat. She has previously been an actress and television producer. Popular Bollywood actress and MP Hema Malini has been made a candidate again from Mathura, UP. He is MP from Mathura since 2014.
MP and Bhojpuri film actor Dinesh Lal Yadav alias Nirahua has been made the candidate from Azamgarh. He had won the by-election on this seat in 2022, whereas in 2019 Lok Sabha Elections In 2017, he was defeated by Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav on this seat.
BJP has once again made sitting MP Locket Chatterjee its candidate from Hooghly seat of West Bengal. She has worked in Bengali films in the past. BJP has given ticket to famous singer and South Indian film actor Suresh Gopi from Thrissur, Kerala.
BJP has made Indian Paralympic javelin thrower Devendra Jhajharia its candidate from Churu, Rajasthan. He has won two gold and one silver medals for India in Paralympics. He is also the first Indian Paralympic player to win two gold medals in Paralympics.
